Visits of representatives of foreign universities to SGGW – Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance
Representatives from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance visited SGGW to discuss prospects for research cooperation and international exchange.
Cooperation with Universidad Nacional de Colombia
On 12 November, SGGW hosted the Vice-Rector of Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Prof. Monica Reinartz Estrada. Universidad Nacional de Colombia is the largest public university in Colombia, with nine campuses located across different regions of the country. The university offers a wide range of faculties, from social sciences and humanities to engineering and agricultural sciences, positioning itself as a leader in research and education both nationally and internationally.
During the visit, Dr. Marta Mendel, Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Dr. Łukasz Uzarowicz, Prof. SGGW, from the Institute of Agriculture, Department of Soil Science, held discussions with Prof. Monica Reinartz Estrada. The talks focused on potential research collaborations, particularly in soil science and agriculture. Topics related to student mobility and the exchange of academic staff between the two institutions were also addressed.
Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance
A day later, on 13 November, we hosted a five-member delegation from Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance, led by the university’s Chancellor, Mr. Xie Chao. Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance is one of China’s leading institutions specializing in financial sciences and accounting. The university is widely recognized for its extensive international collaborations and attracts students from all over the world, fostering interdisciplinary educational and research projects.
Talks with the delegation from Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance were led by Dr. Marta Mendel, Professor of SGGW and Vice-Rector for Internationalisation, as well as Katarzyna Specjalska, Head of the International Relations Office, and Ewelina Belkiewicz, Vice-Head of the International Relations Office. The discussions focused primarily on student exchange and cooperation in the field of social sciences. Increasing the mobility of students and academic staff was also addressed.
Both visits set the stage for enhanced cooperation between SGGW and universities in Colombia and China, contributing to the development of research projects and expanded opportunities for international exchange.
