Vice-Rector for Didactics
Jarosław Gołębiewski has been employed at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) since 1990. He earned his master’s degree in 1988, doctoral degree in Economics in 1999 and postdoctoral degree in 2011. He was awarded the title of professor in 2020. In his research, he focuses on issues related to the food market in Poland, taking into account changes in foreign markets, especially in EU countries.
Author of over 120 scientific papers. Supervisor of two completed doctoral procedures and over 270 bachelor’s and master’s theses. Reviewer of four doctoral dissertations and three postdoctoral procedures. Lectures at master’s, doctoral and postgraduate courses. Served as Dean of the SGGW Faculty of Economics (2012–2016 and 2016–2019) and Deputy Dean of the Faculty for Part-Time Studies and Development (two terms 2005–2012); managed EU Project Development and Management Postgraduate Studies from 2004 to 2012; manager and participant of numerous research and teaching projects carried out at SGGW. In 2019–2020, he served as Director of the SGGW Institute of Economics and Finance.
Member of programme councils and editorial boards of scientific journals, including Tourism and Regional Development, Annals of Marketing Management & Economics and Scientific Yearbooks of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development. Member of national and international scientific associations (the Polish Association of Agricultural and Agribusiness Economists, the European Association of Agricultural Economists and the Polish Scientific Society of Marketing). In 2016, appointed by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development as a member of the Social Council for Agricultural Advisory Services operating at the Lodz Agricultural Advisory Centre based in Bratoszewice. In 2017, appointed by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development as a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics, National Research Institute.
