Chancellor
Graduate of the SGGW Faculty of Economics and Agriculture (currently, Faculty of Economics). In 1978–1993, he worked as a university teacher in the Department of Economics and Economic Policy.
In 1987, he received the degree of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences in the field of Agricultural Economics. He repeatedly went for short-term foreign placements, including USA, New Zealand, France, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Russia and the Czech Republic. He is the author of numerous scientific papers, articles and studies on agricultural economics.
In 1991, he started working in the SGGW Central Administration. Following a selection process, he was appointed Administrative Director, later Chancellor of the University. He has been in charge of the SGGW administration and economy since 1992. He is a member of many SGGW Senate and Rector Committees. He has many years of managerial experience and extensive knowledge of SGGW and its history.
He was repeatedly awarded for his research and organisational activities. He received the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, the Gold Cross of Merit, the Silver Cross of Merit, the Bronze Medal of Merit for National Defence, the Pro Memoria Medal, the Gold Medal for Long Service, the Badge for Services for Agriculture, the SGGW Badge of Merit as well as the Medal of Merit for Police.
