UNIgreen Open Day at SGGW
19 February 2024 – Save the date and visit the UNIgreen office at SGGW. There, you can find out more about the Alliance’s opportunities. The implementation of the European University idea is an organizational challenge. Therefore the special project teams (Work Packages – WP) of experts from universities associated with the alliance were established to face the challenges. The tasks of individual WPs are carried out at the inter-university level.
Unigreen meeting at SGGW
On 19 February, 2024, a debate on the potential, challenges and opportunities related to the implementation of UNIgreen tasks took place at the SGGW UNIgreen Office (located in the SGGW Main Library). WP representatives, scientists, administrative staff, students and PhD students met to learn about the scope of tasks carried out by the alliance.

The meeting was attended by the authorities of SGGW; prof. dr hab. Michał Zasada, SGGW Rector; dr hab. Marta Mendel, SGGW prof, and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation; prof. dr hab. Kazimierz Tomala, Vice-Rector for Development; prof. dr hab. Tomasz Okruszko,Vice-Rector for Science; prof. dr hab. Jarosław Gołębiewski,Vice-Rector for Didactics, and dr inż. Władysław W. Skarżyński, SGGW Chancellor. The meeting was also attended by the UNIgreen Coordinator, dr hab. Karol Chrobak, the International Relations Office Team headed by Ms.Katarzyna Specjalska and, other SGGW representatives.
UNIgreen – what next?
The talks held during the UNIgreen Open Day clearly indicate that the SGGW academic community sees many opportunities and possibilities related to the European University, the idea of which SGGW is to implement in the coming years. The meeting was also an opportunity to talk about new topics that will become a permanent part of our academic everyday life and will build a new European quality.
