Improvement of academic teaching standards in diagnosis and treatment of animal diseases in Senegal
Within the framework of the project “Improvement of academic teaching standards in diagnosis and treatment of animal diseases in Senegal”, implemented by the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) in collaboration with the Foundation Science for Development, trainings for academic teachers and students of veterinary medicine of the Inter-State School of Veterinary Sciences and Medicine of Dakar (EISMV) (in Senegal), were carried out from 1 to 9 December 2021. The lectures, and clinical and laboratory courses conducted by the academic staff of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine of SGGW concerned parasitological diagnostics, parasitic diseases of animals and clinical diagnostics. These included the improvement of skills in clinical and parasitological diagnostics as a component of veterinary public health. In addition to the training cycle, two parasitology laboratories were renovated and equipped with modern diagnostic equipment.
The project was implemented within the framework of the Polish Development Cooperation Program “Polish Aid” 2021 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Republic of Poland.
