The Conference of Chancellors and Bursars of Polish Technical Universities at SGGW

The 23th Conference of Chancellors and Bursars of Polish Technical Universities took place at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences from 19 to 21 April 2023. The purpose of this cyclical event is to exchange views and experience in the area of the administrative and financial management of higher education institutions.

The meeting of chancellors and bursars was attended by over 60 people. The main sessions are held at the SGGW Water Centre. The guests were greeted by the SGGW Chancellor, dr inż. Władysław W. Skarżyński. 

During the inauguration of the 23rd meeting the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, prof. dr hab. Michał Zasada, presented our university to the guests. 

The Committee of the 23rd Conference of Chancellors and Bursars of Polish Technical Universities, apart from the Rector and Chancellor of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, includes prof. dr hab. Kazimierz Tomala, SGGW Vice-Rector for Development, Dr. Łukasz Kalupa, Chairman of the Convention of Chancellors and Bursars of Polish Technical Universities, Chancellor of the Poznań University of Technology, Dr. Wojciech Grzelecki, Head of the Training and Personnel Promotion Agency and Ms. Anna Kamińska, SGGW Bursar. 

The inaugural lecture was delivered by Hanna Żarnowska – Deputy Director of the Department of Budget and Finance of the Ministry of Science and Education.

After the end of the first day of the conference, participants visited the campus of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. In the following days, the main topics covered the future of student dormitories, universities’ funding, and changes in the law in this regard.
