The Conference celebrating the anniversary of the 100 birthday of prof. dr hab. Stanisław Berger
On 14 September 2023 a scientific conference titled ‘Collaboration in promoting eating habits for public health” was organized at the Institute of Human Nutrition Sciences, SGGW. The conference aimed to honor Professor Stanisław Berger and his remarkable achievements. It coincided with the celebration of Professor Berger’s birthday.
The conference started with a session to honor the 100th birthday of Professor Stanisław Berger. Professor Berger and many other guests were warmly greeted by Prof. dr hab. Krystyna Gutkowska, the Director of the Institute of Human Nutrition Sciences.
Afterward, prof. dr hab. Michał Zasada, the SGGW Rector addressed the audience on behalf of the entire academic community conveying his warmest wishes to Professor Berger on his Jubilee. Rector Zasada highlighted Professor Berger’s contributions to the advancement of human nutrition sciences as well as his notable international achievements.
In the following part of the ceremony, a film was shown featuring Professor Berger discussing moments from both his career and personal life.The following guests then took the floor:

- Kazimierz Porębski, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Office of the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship in Warsaw
- Karolina Zdrodowska, City hall of Warsaw
- prof. dr hab. Lidia Wądołowska, PAS
- prof. dr hab. Jadwiga Hamułka, Institute of Human Nutrition Sciences, SGGW
- dr inż. Andrzej Gantner, Polish Federation of Food Industry (PFPZ)
- prof. dr hab. Anna Gronowska-Senger.
Following the anniversary gathering a comprehensive session was convened.
Collaboration in promoting eating habits for public health
and six other sessions:
- Advancements in the food industry
- Promoting sustainable nutrition education
- Addressing health and nutrition issues across population groups
- The importance of a lifestyle in preventing diseases related to diet
- Emerging trends in the food market
- Ensuring responsible production and distribution of food products
Throughout the entirety of the sessions speakers representing different research centers presented a total of 74 papers.
