The concept of enabling trees and shrubs to grow in the concreted areas of European cities was developed at SGGW. The urban green infrastructure should reach at least 30% of the tree cover. Hence, it is difficult to achieve this data in a concreted environment while trying to keep trees healthy. The solution was developed by dr hab. Marzena Suchocka from the Department of Landscape Architecture, Institute of Environmental Engineering, SGGW.
