On 20 July 2022, the “Teraz Polska” Summer Club Meeting was held in the Crystal Hall, Warsaw University of Life Sciences. The meeting was organized by the Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation, which aim is to care for the prestige of the Polish brand both locally and globally. The “Teraz Polska” emblem is the most recognizable and valued Polish mark for top-quality products and services of Polish origin.
Since 1993, the Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation has been selecting the best companies, institutions, and communes by awarding them the prestigious Polish Promotional Emblem, “Teraz Polska”. The emblem is given to people who contribute to shaping a positive image of Poland.
Over 800 companies have already been among the winners of the Teraz Polska competition. Over 120 companies constantly use the logo, said Krzysztof Przybył, President of the Board of the Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation, and a graduate of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
The meetings of the Teraz Polska Club are an important aspect of the Foundation’s activities. On 20 July, the summer club meeting was held at SGGW. It was attended by the “Teraz Polska” and “Outstanding Pole” Competitions’ participants, members of the “Teraz Polska” Committee, some outstanding scientists, as well as the partners and friends of the Foundation, such as our University. SGGW was represented by the Rector, prof. dr hab. Michał Zasada and the Chancellor, dr inż. Władysław W. Skarżyński.
It is a great joy and pleasure for me that the meeting takes place at our university, said prof. Zasada, who is also a member of the “Teraz Polska” Committee.
The University and the Foundation have been cooperating for many years in terms of promoting Polish products in the international arena. Our professors participate in the debates and expert meetings organized by the Foundation to select the winners of the prestigious awards granted by the Foundation, and that is a great privilege for the entire SGGW community.
This year, the Alliance was the meeting’s theme. Its importance was emphasized by the fact that the Board of the Foundation adopted a special award, “Teraz Polska” Ally, designed to express respect and gratitude to people who support and cooperate with the Foundation.
The first five “Teraz Polska” Ally awards were given to: Prof. Jerzy Bralczyk, Maria Andrzej Faliński, Artur Jarczyński, Krzysztof Maurer and dr inż. Władysław W. Skarżyński, SGGW Chancellor. The awards were handed by: Krzysztof Przybył, President of the Foundation’s Management Board, and Prof. dr hab. Michał Zasada.
Finally, the concert of the outstanding guitarist Tomasz Fechner added splendor to the meeting of the “Teraz Polska” Summer Club.
