Study visit at University of Almeria – working package: Digitalisation & Virtual Campus in the period 05.06-09.06.2023

Specifically at the University of Almeria, the visit focused on the digitalization of higher education and the virtual campus within the UNIgreen alliance, which is currently under development within Work Package 7, coordinated by the University of Almería and co-coordinated by Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Poland and University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in Italy.

The program included presentations about the UNIgreen Alliance, the mobility experience at UAL with Ukraine, especially during the war; the management of the virtual classroom at UAL and UNIgreen package 7, digitization of the virtual campus. Sessions also covered the topic of paperless mobility in Higher Education and the UMOVE platform at UAL. The group also visited the solar research Center “CIESOL”, the facilities of the Horizon 2020 Sabana project, the Research Transfer Office, UAL-ANECOOP experimental greenhouse and the Agricultural Cooperative CASI.

The group of professors and staff from the Ukrainian universities had a mixed experience through which they had the opportunity to learn more about the UNIgreen Alliance, Work Package 7, the University’s research environment, the socio-economic reality of the province and the role played by UAL in it, while getting to know the Spanish culture and the city.
