Here are the framework rules:
– the essence of the program is the cooperation of students in the promotion program
learning in the BayLab multimedia popular science salon
– the task of students will be to create and co-lead
workshops for primary and secondary school children
– the workshops will cover topics in the areas of biodiversity,
arable crops, and environmental protection will be held on the basis of
scenarios developed by methodologists; will be led by
experienced moderators: academics and practitioners
– every student willing to participate in the program should receive
recommendation of one of the Student Research Clubs at SGGW
– in 2014, approx. 10 school workshops in the above
topics – the company will invite 4-5 students to cooperate with each class
(we prefer cooperation with students who will declare participation in several
workshops)
– dates: July and October 2014

We would like to remind you that the Foundation for the Development of Polish Agriculture announced the 6th edition of the competition for works on Polish agriculture and rural areas under the name “Polish countryside – heritage and future”. The competition is under the honorary patronage of the Polish Committee for UNESCO.
The aim of the competition is to promote Polish agriculture, issues related to rural areas, cultural heritage and to enrich the public debate on the Polish countryside. The Competition Jury will select outstanding studies that will be published in book form in the Scientific Publisher Scholar ( www.scholar.com.pl ), which is a partner in the project. Additionally, the winner in each category will receive a cash prize of PLN 5,000 gross.
The deadline for submitting works is July 31, 2014.

Previous editions of the Competition enjoyed nationwide popularity. The issues and the number of submitted works surprise the Foundation and the Competition Jury, which includes outstanding scientists involved in the development of rural areas: prof. dr hab. Józef Styk, prof. dr hab. Roch Sulima, prof. dr hab. Jerzy Wilkin, Dr. Andrzej Hałasiewicz, Dr. Dorota Klepacka-Kołodziejska and Dr. Barbara Perepeczko. The authors of the studies include representatives of the world of science, students, journalists, social activists, regionalists and enthusiasts as well as retirees who passionately document the stories and customs of the Polish countryside. Among the submitted applications, one can find monographs of the village, personal memories, valuable descriptions of the traditions and life of the villagers, stories, and even novels and poems. The winners can boast of published studies. Currently, work is underway on the book of this year’s finalist. Each edition of the Competition ends with a gala combined with the promotion of the published publication.
