Academic Legion

Legia Akademicka is a program aimed at students, both women and men, who would like to undergo military training, strengthen the reserves of the Polish Army, obtain a military rank or plan to join the army and on active service.

The program is implemented by the Ministry of National Defense in agreement with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and universities. The theoretical part of the training is organized by universities, and the practical part of the military training in the form of field exercises is organized by the Ministry of National Defense.

The program is intended for students of universities with Polish citizenship, unpunished, who have passed the military qualification or are ready to do so.

Application to the program:

  • Application (1) to the university in charge of the program
  • Attending theoretical classes (30 hours)
  • Passing the theoretical part of the exam
  • Receipt of the certificate of completion of the theoretical part
  • Submission to the university application (2) for appointment to military exercises
  • Receipt of a vocation card for military exercises
  • Appearance at the indicated military unit, training and taking a military oath. Two modules to choose from:
    • Basic (21 days of training ground) – you will be a reserve soldier!
    • NCO (42 days of training ground) – you will be a reserve NCO!
