SGGW students will compete during the Summer Universiade in Chengdu

Our two students qualified for the Polish Academic Team during the 31st Summer World University Games (FISU Games) in Chengdu, China.

Aleksandra Płocińska will compete in the 800 metres and 1500 metres, and Izabela Smolińska in the 400 m hurdles races.

This is the biggest student sports event that will take place in the summer of 2023 (28  July – 8 August).

The Polish  Academic Team consists of nearly two hundred athletes.

So far, Polish student-athletes have won 357 medals (98 gold, 118 silver, and 141 bronze) during the summer university games.

Four years ago in Naples, the white-and-reds won 4 gold, 2 silver, and 9 bronze medals.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed for the Polish Academic Team!
