SGGW reports rise in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023
- 41. position in Agriculture & Forestry faculty (previously 48);
- 51-70. position in the Veterinary Sciences faculty (the only one in Poland);
- 351-400. position in the Environmental Sciences faculty (No 1 in Poland);
- 551-600. position in the Biological Sciences faculty (previously 601-640).

About the ranking
QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023 provides the results for your institution in the subjects and broad subject areas where you have been nominated for evaluation in our academic reputation survey, as well as the scores and ranks for those subjects where you made it into the published rankings table. To produce the rankings for this year the team analyzed over 14.7 million unique papers, producing close to 96 million citations. 1543 institutions ranked across 51 academic disciplines in 5 faculties, creating over 17,700 ranked entries. These figures reflect some of the scales behind this huge undertaking.
In 2022, the International Research Network as an indicator for the broad subject area rankings was introduced. QS believes that research conducted with global partners is of immense value, and this metric serves to further shine a light on institutions that are working cooperatively with international partners to add value to the global bank of research.
