SGGW representatives participate in the first annual meeting of UNIgreen’s Joint International Centre (JIC) in Almeria
The JIC is the operational structure of the Alliance, composed of 10 Units and a Quality Committee, and formed by 160 people from the eight partner institutions.
The annual meeting of UNIgreen JIC is an opportunity to summarize the first six months of the Green European University functioning during which most of the members did not have a possibility to meet in person.
Today, being hosted by the University of Almería, we have the opportunity to get to know our partners better and strengthen the ties between individual universities, which will accelerate the implementation of planned activities and the achievement of goals. As stated by Professor Hristina Yancheva, Rector of the Agricultural University of Plovdiv, being a part of UNIgreen is an honor, but also a responsibility to fulfill the promise of transforming our universities into one European university. The SGGW team arrived at UAL with the hope of further fulfilling this promise, added dr hab.Marta Mendel, prof. SGGW and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation.
In this face-to-face JIC meeting, the participants will have the opportunity to hold joint meetings to get a detailed overview of the work done, share results, and discuss and plan the future of the Alliance in terms of mobility, digital transformation, or the visibility of the Alliance.
We are here to share our knowledge and experience with our partners in all nine areas of operation of the Green European University – UNIgreen. Formal meetings as well as some informal gatherings provide an impulse for collaborative work, inspiring us and creating opportunities for greater integration with representatives from the other seven partner universities, said dr hab. Karol Chrobak, SGGW Rector’s Plenipotentiary for UNIgreen.
Universidad de Almeria (UAL) hosts the first annual meeting of UNIgreen’s Joint International Centre (JIC) from 23 to 25 October 2023.
