SGGW in THE Impact Rankings 2021
Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) is among 12 Polish universities distinguished in the latest THE Impact Rankings 2021 published by Times Higher Education.
THE Impact Rankings has been published since 2019. It is the only international university classification based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The ranking aims to show the importance of universities in building a sustainable world and to promote universities that work to solve the greatest challenges of our time.
In this year’s edition, 1,115 institutions from 94 countries around the world were classified in the main ranking. Among them, there were 12 Polish universities. In addition to the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, these are: Gdańsk University of Technology, Medical University of Warsaw, University of Warsaw, University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, University of Gdańsk, Łódź University of Technology, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Wrocław University of Technology, University of Wrocław and Warsaw University of Technology.
In addition to the main ranking, Times Higher Education has also prepared lists for each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Most, as many as 12 institutions, i.e. each of the Polish universities in the ranking, were classified under the Partnership for the goals. Additionally, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) was the only Polish university for the purpose of Life on Earth (place 101-200).
