SGGW expands international cooperation with Germany
SGGW authorities met with representatives of the University of Applied Forest Sciences (Rottenburg, Germany).
The visit of a University of Applied Forest Sciences representatives led by Rector Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Bastian Kaiser was an opportunity to discuss future perspectives for both universities. During the meeting, both parties presented joint research and academic mobility opportunities.
The meeting took place on 5 March 2024 at the SGGW Rector’s Palace.
The event was attended by:

- Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Bastian Kaiser, Rector of the University of Applied Forest Sciences,
- Prof. dr hab. Marta Mendel, prof. SGGW, Vice Rector for International Cooperation,
- Dr hab. Roman Wójcik, prof. SGGW, Head of the Institute of Forest Sciences,
- Prof. dr hab. Marta Aleksandrowicz-Trzcińska, Dean of the Faculty of Forestry.
The scientific seminar
The visit of Professor Kaiser to SGGW also had a scholarly aspect, namely a seminar entitled “Forest management objectives in a changing world. Why the world is changing faster than forests and why forests are changing faster than the management organizations”.
