SGGW Days
SGGW Days are about to begin – Two celebration days of science and nature. The celebration of science and nature is about to begin.
On 17 May, the official part of SGGW Days will be inaugurated in the Crystal Hall. It’s a time to recognize distinguished scientists with state and departmental decorations and to confer postdoctoral and doctoral degrees and promotions. Following the official program, please visit the stands of Institutes and Faculties located on the Old Campus.
The program of SGGW Days includes many attractions. Along with outdoor activities: concerts, cooking shows, and children’s and adult workshops, many lectures have been prepared, to be listened to in the lecture halls. It’s an opportunity to explore the mysteries of science in the unique environment of our university and get to know SGGW.
SGGW Days under the patronage of UNIgreen
This year, the UniGreen alliance bestowed the patronage of the SGGW Days. Therefore, it is worth remembering two dates closely related to the attendance of our international partners from European life sciences universities:
- 17 May, 12:30 pm, Drop drills a rock. What to do to protect water resources?
The film ‘Do ostatniej kropli” is a documentary about the degradation of rivers and the consequences of human activity on aquatic ecosystems. Ewa Ewart, the filmmaker, with TVN24 broadcast network, will present the effects of the destruction of nature ‘In the Name of Progress’. The film will serve as a springboard to a debate on the quantity and quality of water in Poland and other countries. The discussion will be held in English.
- On 18 May, 11:00 a.m., the Concert of 8 Cultures will take place on the stage before the Rector’s palace.
