THE World University Rankings Award ceremony
The culmination of the 8th edition of the LUMEN Conference was a discussion on the methodology and results of the latest edition of the Times Higher Education ranking, combined with the award ceremony for Polish universities. 34 Polish universities were classified in THE World University Rankings 2023, including two private ones. This is a considerable increase compared to the previous edition (23). The upward trend is even more visible when we look at 2019 – then there were only 12 Polish universities. That means not only a quantitative but also a qualitative increase. The ceremony was attended by representatives of 32 Polish universities who received awards for their participation in the most prestigious ranking of universities in the world – THE World University Rankings 2023. The award for SGGW was received by Rector Zasada.
