SGGW attended the “Start-ups at the Palace” conference
Scientists, doctoral students and heads of SGGW units engaged in innovative technology deployment in the agri-food sector took part in the seventh edition of the “Start-ups at the Palace” conference, held at the Presidential Palace on 9 May 2024.
The main topic of the conference was technological innovation in the agri-food industry.
The meeting was attended by young founders, start-up and experienced business delegates launching innovative technological solutions for years, and representatives of start-up hubs and higher education institutions.
The event aimed to demonstrate the changes occurring in Polish agriculture thanks to the innovations and the role of start-ups in that process. The idea was to draw attention to the importance of intellectual property protection, regarding new technologies implemented in startup ventures.
“There is no doubt that agriculture is our future. The ideas presented by you contribute to producing better, more, and in more human-friendly way. I encourage you to continue your progress,” said President Andrzej Duda.

At the meeting with President Andrzej Duda, dr hab. Marcin Gołębiewski, SGGW Associate Professor, presented Usarya, an innovative rock-removing machine model.
