SGGW among the top Polish universities in the latest edition of the THE ranking
The latest Times Higher Education (THE) ranking, which evaluates higher education institutions worldwide, once again recognises the best academic institutions in education, research and innovation. The ranking structure uses a variety of criteria, such as quality of education, research impact, number of citations, international collaboration and innovation output.
The top places in this year’s ranking were taken by renowned universities from the United States and the United Kingdom, such as the University of Oxford, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Harvard University. Among the top places were also Asian institutions, especially from China and Singapore, demonstrating the growing importance of these regions in global science.
This year’s ranking edition included 44 higher education institutions from Poland. SGGW is the best-ranked Polish life science university. SGGW ranked 11th nationally (position 1201-1500). The highest-ranked Polish universities were Medical University in Wrocław (501-600), Jagiellonian University and Warsaw University (601-800).
