Health insurance
Health insurance is granted to PhD students who are over 26 years old and do not have any other health insurance (full-time work, outsourced work, pension, own business, etc.).
In order to apply for a doctoral student for health insurance by the University is to submit an application for health insurance at the National Health Fund (ZZA form) to the Science and National Projects Office together with a declaration of not being subject to health insurance obligation for another reason in order to cancel the insurance through the university.
The university is released from the obligation to pay the health insurance premium for a participant in doctoral studies with the status of a family member of the insured person. Therefore, persons who have a working spouse are required to cancel the health insurance plan.
Doctoral candidates are also obliged to inform the University of any changes to the identification and address data, in particular the change of name and address.
Please note: application for health insurance or change of personal data takes place only after the interested doctoral student reports himself/herself personally in order to complete the required formalities.
The right to doctoral student health care benefits expires 4 months after completing a doctoral degree or deletion from the list of doctoral students.
The details of health insurance for doctoral candidates are regulated by the Act of 27 August 2004 on publicly funded health care benefits (Journal of Laws 2004 No. 210 item. 2135 as amended).
If you have any questions or information regarding doctoral student insurance, please contact the Science and National Projects Office in person or at the following number: (22) 59 31062.
