Doctoral scholarship
In accordance with Article 2(10) of the basic 209 of the Act of 20 July 2018 on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws, item 1668, as amended):
- A doctoral student without a doctoral degree receives a doctoral scholarship.
- The total duration of receiving a doctoral scholarship in doctoral schools may not exceed 4 years.

- The monthly doctoral grant shall be at least: 37% of the professor's salary up to the month in which the mid-term evaluation was carried out; 57% of the professor's salary – after the month in which the mid-term evaluation was carried out.
- During the period of suspension of education, the provisions on the determination of maternity allowance shall apply mutatis mutandis to the determination of the amount of the doctoral grant, provided that the amount of the monthly doctoral grant referred to in paragraph 1 is determined by the basis of the amount of the allowance. - A doctoral student holding a disability certificate, a decision on the degree of disability or a judgment referred to in Article 5 and Article 62 of the Law of 27 August 1997 on professional and social rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities shall receive a doctoral fellowship of 30% of the amount referred to in paragraph 4(1)(1)
- A doctoral student who has submitted a doctoral dissertation earlier than the deadline for completion of the training provided for in the training programme shall receive a doctoral fellowship until the date on which the period for completion of the training expires, but not more than 6 months.
- A doctoral student may not be employed as an academic or researcher. The ban does not apply to the employment of a doctoral student: (1) for the purpose of carrying out the research project referred to in Article 10( 1) of Regulation (EC) No 1782/2003, the competent authority of the Member State in Whereas article 119 (1) of the Treaty provides that the Community may adopt measures 2 points 2 and 3 of the Act; (2) following a positive mid-term evaluation, except that, in the case of employment of more than half of full-time employment, the amount of the grant shall be 40% of the monthly grant referred to in paragraph 1; 4 point 2; (3) who is not entitled to a doctoral fellowship.
