FAQ (Grade I, Uniform)

Recruitment

  • Can I register for two fields of study or two courses of study in the same field?

    A candidate may register in the Candidate Service System for only one course and one form of study (stationary/part-time). If he/she is not eligible for the selected field in the basic qualification, he/she may take part in the supplementary qualification (within the remaining vacancies and the same recruitment fee). After confirming participation in the supplementary qualification (selecting the option “I take part in the next stage” and returning to the status of “registered”) the candidate will see in the SOK all the fields of study for which he/she can recruit and the number of remaining vacancies in these fields, may repeatedly change during the period resulting from the recruitment calendar) the field of study for which he/she wishes to be qualified in the next stage. Only candidates with “registered” status in a given field of study take part in the next stages of recruitment.

  • In the same account, I can't choose the other direction. Create a second account?

    NO, you can only register once in the Candidate Service System and choose one course and one form of study (stationary/part-time). Please read question 1.1.

  • How do I complete my registration/choose a first-level course of study?

    In order to complete the registration after creating an account and selecting a field of study:

    • Log in to the Candidate Service System (SOK) using the ID number you assigned when creating your account,
    • read the information for candidates entering the qualification (highlighted in red) regarding the processing of personal data,
    • select a degree in the “Choice of study degree” tab e.g. if you are applying for admission to first-level studies, select YES with the option “I apply for admission to 1st grade/uniform studies”, then supplement the information about existing studies in SGGW – this option applies to people who in the past were or are currently students of SGGW. If you select the correct options from the drop-down lists, confirm the selection with the “OK” button,
    • from the menu on the left, select the tab “1st. + jm – baccalaureate results, choice of direction” and choose the right options from the drop-down lists (“Type of document entitling you to apply for admission to first degree and uniform master’s degree”, “Choose the form of study you are applying for”, “Exemptions from qualifications”),
    • in the tab “1st. + jm – baccalaureate results, choice of direction” in the table “Information on the candidate’s assessments and examinations” select YES from the drop-down lists for subjects whose results are/will be on the baccalaureate certificate, complete the results from the certificate in the appropriate fields (basic or extended level), choose the appropriate year of baccalaureate,
    • Refresh the list of directions with the “refresh” button below the results table
    • Place the dot in the selected direction
    • confirm the selection with the “save changes” button at the bottom of the page.

    In the “Home tab of the administration panel” you will see the selected field of study.

    Note! The photograph in the system is posted only by candidates qualified for admission – within the time limit specified in the calendar.

  • How and when to put the missing data in the application form (baccalaureate results numbers and dates of certificates,)?

    The missing data must be entered in the recruitment form as follows:

    • Log in
    • from the menu on the left, select the tab where the data will be completed;
    • enter, enter the relevant data;
    • confirm the changes with the button at the bottom of the page.

    When entering data on the results of the baccalaureate, it is necessary to remember:

    • select YES with the relevant subject matter and enter the result of the relevant baccalaureate level in the appropriate column;
    • entering the result which is on the certificate but without the % symbol (the system itself converts the baccalaureate results into SGGW points);
    • choosing the right year of baccalaureate (this year’s graduates choose “2010 and beyond”);
    • leaving a value of 0 (zero) in unfilled fields;
    • refresh the list of directions and check that the correct direction has been selected.

    You can check the baccalaureate results you have entered in the “Results” tab (in the menu on the left).

    The result converted to SGGW points for the currently selected direction is displayed on the main page of the candidate’s administration panel.

    Information about completed secondary school and baccalaureate certificate is introduced only after you have qualified for admission to college.

    The generated application form for admission to college (only after eligibility for admission) should contain the relevant and all required data (certificate numbers, date of issue and photo of the candidate).

  • What happens if I am not admitted to study in the first stage of recruitment?

    A candidate not qualified for admission in the first stage of qualification may take part in a supplementary qualification for the courses in which the remaining vacancies are vacant. A candidate who is not eligible for admission to university receives the status of “next stage”. Participation in the follow-up recruitment requires the consent of the candidate by selecting the option “I participate in the next stage” and returning to the “registered” status. A candidate with “registered” status selects the direction in which he/she wants to be qualified in the follow-up recruitment. The choice of direction may change several times during the period resulting from the recruitment calendar. Only candidates with “registered” status in a given field of study take part in the next stages of recruitment.

  • Do I need to confirm in the subsequent stages of my full-time qualification that I still want to be qualified/qualified for a pre-declared field of study?

    YES, thanks to this we know that the candidate is still interested in a given field and form of study. To confirm participation in the next stage, click on the “I participate in the next stage” button after logging in to SOK. In the following stages, only candidates with “registered” status are eligible, as shown in the red box on the home page of the candidate’s administrative panel in SOK (after logging in). Candidates with other status will not be eligible.

  • Will SGGW rewrite me for part-time studies if I don't get into stationary studies?

    NO, and certainly not without the knowledge and consent of the candidate. The candidate always decides on the choice of the field / form of study independently – on the basis of the information provided in the SOK, on recruitment websites or sent to the candidate by e-mail. During the recruitment process, the selection board’s communications should be closely followed and responded to accordingly. Where the calendar no longer provides for further stages and there are still vacancies in the fields in question, the Selection Board may propose that the candidate be admitted to another field or form of study. This is done by means of an acceptance proposal, presented in the Candidate Service System, which the candidate can accept. Once accepted, the direction of the application and the status of the candidate authorising the submission of documents and acceptance to the proposed direction shall be changed. It should be borne in mind that such proposals may or may not be submitted by the Selection Board.

  • In the recruitment form, I do not have the opportunity to choose the direction that interests me.

    If there is no one in the list of directions that interests you, make sure that:

    • the qualification subjects from which the candidate has obtained the results and the appropriate form of study (stationary/part-time) have been correctly identified in the registration form;
    • the result of the baccalaureate examination of the subject qualifying for the course has been introduced;
    • selected YES for the matriculation qualification for this direction;
    • the result of the baccalaureate obtained from a given subject at the extended level is not less than 30.
  • I can't sign in. "Closed system" message.

    The message “closed system” appearing in the SOK during the recruitment of study candidates is related to data processing. We close the system for candidates for the time of qualification or after the end of registration deadlines when the status of the data can not be changed. As a rule, the closure does not take more than a few hours and results from the recruitment calendar. This message is also displayed before and after graduation (the deadlines specified in the calendar).

  • I am registered, but after logging in to the system I can only see the 'Log out' and 'Change password' login.

    After 30 days from the date of account setting up, the system asks you to change your password. After logging in, the candidate sees the “Change password” tab in the menu on the left. Once the user has changed their password, access to the account will be restored. The security of the data contained in it systems requires a periodic (every 30 days) change of the account password.

  • I forgot my password/ forgot my ID / can't log in, what should I do?

    Only candidates who have previously created an account and been given an ID number (a number of6 digits) can log in to the Candidate Service System (SOK). Candidates log in to their SOK account using the ID number and password they have established.

    The most commoncauses of is:
    error in candidate ID number (entering social security number as ID is incorrect)
    incorrectly entered password
    CAPS LOCK button enabled or accidental keyboard mode change(Ctrl+Shift)

    I forgot id

    Confirm account creation together with the information about the given ID number (number containing 6 digits) is displayed as a system message, it is also sent by e-mail to the address candidate’s e-mail provided when setting up the Account. This message can be addressed to different e-mail mailbox folders, depending on the rules/preferences you have set.

    Please check your internet mail inbox provided in SOK when creating anaccount, kmost of all folders(m.in. Offers, SPAM, Notifications,Socialness ) – depending on your preference settings, the message may have been in a completely unexpected mailbox folder. On the G mail inbox this message is most often located in the Offers folder. Please set preferences to send messages from SGGW to the correct folder.

    I forgot my password

    Candidates log in to their SOK account using the registered ID number (number containing 6 digits) and the established password. This password must consist of a minimum of 10 characters, including a minimum of one character from each group, i.e. a minimum of 10 characters. lowercase letter, lowercase letter, number, special characters (@!^).

The form must provide a 6-digit User ID to log in to SOK (if you forgot your ID read the information above), the same email address as when registering and a new password. Your e-mail will send back the activation code, which must be used within 15 minutes – enter in the form that appears in the tab “Recovery of lost password”.

  • How are candidates with a certificate of maturity and baccalaureate results expressed in grades 2-5 or 1-6 to take the baccalaureate examination to fill in the gaps in their qualification subjects or to improve the outcome of the maturity test?

    In the tab “1st. + jm – baccalaureate results, choice of direction” as a type of document entitling them to apply for admission to university, candidates choose “Polish certificate of maturity – results expressed in scale of assessments…”, indicate YES to the qualification subject from which they have the result of the baccalaureate examination (OKE certificate) and, when clicked on “add certificate”, supplement the result of the exam at the level passed according to the information on the certificate. After entering the information, check the correctness of the conversion of qualification points in the “results” tab or on the home page of the candidate’s administration panel.

  • I did not pass the baccalaureate from one subject, in August I have a fix. Do I need to register? Can I participate in recruitment?

    Please refer to the recruitment calendar.

Recruitment fee

  • Can I pay the recruitment fee by online transfer?

    YES, internet transfer is also a bank transfer. Due to the short posting time, the fact of payment of the recruitment fee quickly appears in the candidate’s account (as a rule, within 2-3 working days of the payment order). Candidates do not need to submit a fee confirmation!

  • Do I need to make a transfer from my own account/account?

    Not. The transfer of the recruitment fee can be made from any account / account. The deposit is identified by the individual candidate’s account number and is automatically assigned to the correct person.

  • Can I make a deposit via mail?

    YES, depositing at the post office is one possible form of payment.

  • Does the change of course of study require another recruitment fee?

    Changing the field of study, changing the form of study from stationary to part-time or vice versa do not require further fees. One fee covers the entire recruitment process, including participation in the supplementary qualification.

  • My recruitment fee has not yet been credited. Why? What should I do in this case?

    The fee (made at the cash window / electronic banking transfer / post office) is credited to the SGGW account within 2-3 working days from the date of payment. If the fee has not been posted:

    • wait patiently;
    • Verify the correctness of the account number to which it was sent;
    • Check that it has not returned to the account from which it was sent;
    • if it has returned, you should intervene in your own bank.

    Note! The recording of the recruitment fee in the candidate’s account is not a confirmation of its payment. In any case, the candidate is obliged to keep proof of payment and, on request, present it during the submission of documents.

  • How do I keep my proof of payment when I have paid/deposited the recruitment fee online?

    Each bank account has the option to print a transfer confirmation. Such a printout usually includes a clause that the document does not require a stamp or signature.

  • When do I have to pay a recruitment fee after registering and generating my account number?

    The recruitment fee must be paid no later than the date indicated in the recruitment calendar on the last day indicated for the payment of the fee or registration of candidates at the relevant stage of recruitment. Candidates waiting until the last minute and registering on the last day, on the same day, pay a recruitment fee.

  • What is the recruitment fee?

    In recruitment for studies starting in the academic year 2020/21, the recruitment fee is PLN 85.

Qualification for studies

  • How will qualification for first-level and single master's courses work?

    After creating an account with SOK, the candidate indicates the qualification subjects and selects the field of study. After receiving the results of the baccalaureate, it introduces the results from the indicated subjects to the SOK.

    On the basis of the results entered and the ranking lists created for each field of study, the Selection Board decides on the number of persons and the minimum number of points eligible for admission to a given field of study. The committee’s decision is reflected in the candidate’s status.

    A candidate who creates a recruitment account and selects a field of study receives the status of “registered“.

    After qualification, the following statuses are possible:

    “Qualified” – a candidate invited to confirm that he/she has studied at SGGW and submitted documents;

    “The next stage?” – a candidate who has not obtained the number of points to submit documents and to be accepted in the first stage.

    A candidate who hasobtainedthe status of “qualified” and decides to study at the SGGW within the time limit set in the recruitment timeline:

    1. Completes missing data in SOK (high school graduated),
    2. Includes a scan of the baccalaureate certificate,
    3. Includes digital photography in SOK
    4. It confirms, on the home page of the candidate’s administration panel in SOK, the readiness to study and submit documents with the CONFIRM button.
    5. The status of the candidate in the SOK after confirmation changes to “pending adoption

    The next step for a candidate with “pending acceptance” status is to provide the required documents to SGGW:

    • the original of the certificate of maturity or a notarized copy of the original certificate of maturity.
    • generated from sok, printed and signed Personal Survey/Application for admission to college
    • paper photography
    • a photocopy of the usual first page of the high school graduation certificate.

    Documents can be sent by post, sent by courier, in extreme situations delivered in person within the time limit indicated in the recruitment calendar. A candidate who confirms his/her readiness to study and provide the required documents within the specified period shall be granted accepted status.

    The Selection Board shall, after being confirmed as being in conformity with the original of the completed copy of the certificate of maturity, in accordance with the candidate’s instructions indicated for the transmission of the documents:

    1. return the original of the certificate of maturity to the address given in the SOK or the address indicated by the candidate when the documents are sent, or
    2. keep the original certificate in the briefcase of the candidate, which the candidate may collect in the dean’s course after the commencement of his studies.

    Candidate with status “qualified ” whodoes not confirm in the time limit indicated in the calendar the readiness to study and submit documents and a candidate who confirms his readiness to study and submit documents (“pending adoption“) and does not provide these documents within the time limit specified in the recruitment calendar will receive after the expiry of this period the status of resignation no documents.

    If a candidate with resignation status does not have documents, he/she will change his/her mind and wants to proceed to the second stage of qualification – for the remaining vacancies after the first stage – he/she should again use the selection tab of the field of study, confirm the choice of direction and thus obtain the “registered” status again on his/her training horses.

    On the basis of the number of candidates with status accepted in each field of study, the Selection Board will announce the number of vacancies for the second stage within the time limit specified in the recruitment calendar. The second stage will be carried out in a manner analogous to the first stage.

    Those with accepted status will be entered on the student list.

  • Where can I find lists of accepted (qualified) students?

    SGGW publishes information about the admission / eligibility of a candidate for studies in the Candidate Service System. The candidate will find one of the messages in the status field (always highlighted in red):

    • “qualified” – the candidate has been qualified for admission and should complete the information in the SOK within the prescribed period and provide documents;
    • “The next stage?” – the candidate has not been eligible for admission at the current stage. After selecting the option “I participate in the next stage” or re-selecting / changing the field of study and changing the status to “registered can apply for admission in the next stage. Only candidates with “registered” status take part in the subsequent stages ofrecruitment;
    • “pending admission” – the candidate who has been qualified, completed the information, entered the photo, and confirmed his readiness to submit documents and study at SGGW – This candidate must provide the required documents, including the original baccalaureate certificate (notarial copy) to the Selection Board, in order to obtain accepted status.
    • “adopted…” – the candidate has been qualified and has submitted a set of required documents within the time limit provided for in the recruitment timeline.

    Information on the number of points with which candidates were qualified at a given stage of recruitment for each field of study (so-called “thresholds”) is published in the Candidate Service System in the tab “Admission thresholds, vacancies”.

  • I got an empty qualification message. What to do about it?

    A large number of emails sent to candidates may be identified as spam by some spam filters. The candidate should check the appropriate folder in the e-mail box, as well as his status in the Candidate Service System, the messages posted on the recruitment website and a table with the minimum score required at a given stage of recruitment.

  • In the field where the message "registered" was so far, it is now written "qualified". Does this mean that I have been qualified?

    Highlighted in red in the “status” field, the message “qualified” indicates that the candidate has been qualified for admission. He will be accepted for the chosen direction provided that the formal conditions are met: confirmation in sok of readiness to study at SGGW and transmission in accordance with the communication of the University Recruitment Commission and within the required deadlines (recruitment timeline) a set of documents that agree in terms of data with the information entered by the candidate in the SOK form.

  • How many seats are left after the basic qualification? Where and when will the vacancy information appear?

    Information about vacancies is given at the end of a given stage in the Candidate Service System in the Admission Thresholds tab, vacancies or in the form of advertisements on the recruitment website. The number of vacancies for each direction is entered into the system at the end of the submission period of the previous stage. These deadlines are given in the recruitment calendar.

  • Can I apply for the same or different field of study in supplementary recruitment?

    So. Candidates may apply for the same or different field of study within the vacancies. Only candidates with “registered” status take part in the next stages ofrecruitment.

  • In the field where the message "registered" was so far, it says "next stage". What does that mean? Can I submit documents?

    The “next stage” message means that the candidate has earned too few SGGW points to be qualified for the current recruitment phase. However, he still has a chance to qualify for admission in the qualifiers. To participate in them, log in to SOK and select the option “Iparticipate in the nextstage ” – on the date when it is possible (after entering the free seats to the SOK after the end of the previousstage). The status will then change back to“registered”. Participation in the supplementary qualifications takes place as part of the recruitment fee already paid. In supplementary recruitment it is possible to change the field of study for which the candidate wishes to be accepted. Only candidates with “registered” status take part in the next stages of recruitment.

  • How do complementary qualifications work?

    Candidates with the status of “next stage?” in the directions where there are vacancies,a gray button “I participate in the next stage” is available. After selecting this button, the status of the candidate in this direction will change to “registered” – allowing participation in the supplementary qualification in this direction.

    Candidates with the status of“next stage?” in directions for which there are no vacancies gray button “I participate in the next stage” is not available, because the next stage will not be carried out. However, this candidate may participate in the qualification for a different direction in which the seats will be vacant.

    Any candidate may change the direction for which he/she wishes to be qualifiedin the next stage, provided that the sok shows the vacancies for the supplementary qualification. You can change direction by selecting the “1st. + jm – baccalaureate results, choice of direction” – under the table with baccalaureate results you need to mark the selected direction and at the end under the directions save the changes (gray button),

    A new “ranking” tab has appeared in the menu. What is it used for and why is my ranking changing so quickly?

    The “ranking” tab appears in the SOK to candidates who participate in the supplementary qualifications. There, the candidate can see in which directions available to him (according to the subjects passed on the baccalaureate) there are still vacancies and what is his position on the ranking lists of each of these directions. Guided by this information, the candidate may change his or her choice of direction several times. The selected direction, highlighted in red, will be the one for which the candidate will be eligible in the next stage. Using the information in the ranking tab is most effective at the end of registration/direction selection at a given stage.

    Why is my ranking changing so fast?

    A candidate who has not been qualified to study at the completed stage, with the opening of the next stage, receives the status of “next stage“. To participate, select “I’mtaking part in the next stage” or re-select the study direction and confirm the changes. From that point on, the candidate regains the status of “registered”and is taken into account when creating ranking lists (position in the ranking tab). The result of this action and the changes made by all candidates who decide to enter the next stage is the rapidly changing position of the candidate in the rankings.

    In the “ranking” tab it says that the number of free seats in the direction chosen above me is zero. I have a ranking in this direction position 35, and in another direction where the number of vacancies is 25 I have a position 3. If I change direction, will I be accepted and able to file documents?

    Using the “Ranking” tab, a candidate can change their preferred field of study based on information about vacancies and their rankings on the dates indicated in the calendar (in the supplementary qualification 8-10 September). The system is then shut down for the duration of the qualification and status changes. After the qualification, the candidate obtains the appropriate status and, if it is a “qualified” status, he/she should follow the steps specified for that status and submit the documents.

  • I have not been qualified/qualified for admission to a part-time course course, and I want to apply for free places in part-time studies. When do I need to change my form of study at SOK?

    This must be done within the time limit specified in the recruitment calendar for follow-up recruitment.

  • I have been qualified/qualified for college, but I want to study in a different field. What can I do?

    If a candidate has been accepted or accepted for college but would like to study in a different field, he/she may apply for admission to this field as part of the vacancies in the subsequent stages of recruitment, if such places are indicated. To this end, it should:

    • log in to SOK and cancel your acceptance by selecting the “I am not studying… and confirm your resignation. His status will then change to“resignation”;
    • select the tab 1st. + jm – baccalaureate results, choice of direction, select in the form of interest the field of study on which the vacancies are shown, and then confirm with the button at the end of the page save changes“. He will then be reinstated to “registered”status and will take part in the recruitment for a new direction of his chosen name.

    Please be careful and reasonable with such changes. Sometimes a candidate fails to qualify for a new field of study. However, returning to a vacant place is no longer possible other than by re-going through the recruitment process. In 2020, only two stages are carried out, so resignation in the first stage and insufficient number of points in the second stage lead to non-accepted studies in SGGW.

  • I have chosen to opt out of the system, but I would like to take part in the next qualifiers. Do I need to register again?

    If the status field displays resignation” and the candidate still wants to apply for admission to college, he should select the tab 1st. + jm – baccalaureate results, selection of direction, select the selected direction (if there are free places on it) and save the changes. He then re-enters the “registered status and takes part in the next stage of qualification for the direction of his or her chosen direction. This is the so-called re-registration.

  • In the red box, I get the message "Resignation. No documents", and I want to take part in the next stages of recruitment. What should I do?

    The communication means that the candidate was qualified to submit documents in the previous stage of recruitment, confirmed his readiness to study at SGGW but did not submit them within the specified time limit and thus gave up his/her place. If you still want to apply for admission to college, you should select the tab 1st. + jm – baccalaureate results, selection of direction, select the selected direction (if there are free places on it) and save the changes. It then acquires “registered”status and participates in the next stage of qualification.

Submission of documents

  • Who submits documents and when?

    The documents are provided to SGGW by candidates who have been qualified for admission and have confirmed their readiness to study at SGGW, thus obtaining a “pending” status.

    After qualifying for admission, the status of “qualified” candidate confirms that you have read the information for the qualified candidates (highlighted in red menu tab) and then, after confirming that you have read the above information, according to the following highlighted menu items:

    • supplements information on secondary school,
    • attaches digital photography to SOK,
    • attaches to the SOK a scan of the baccalaureate certificate.
    • Then, on the Home page of the candidate’s administration panel:
    • prints and validates the Personal Survey/ Applications for admission to study (possibly corrects the data)
    • clicks on the gray button Confirm ____

    A signed survey/application for acceptance, a paper photograph (signed), an original certificate of maturity or a notarized copy of the original certificate of maturity (or for documents obtained in other countries a certificate entitling to apply for studies in the country of issue of that certificate), a simple photocopy of the first page of the high school leaving certificate should be provided within the time limit specified in the recruitment timeline.

    We recommend sending these documents by courier or letter. Note that the documents listed above are considered correct. Regular copies of certificates of maturity will not be accepted. The HEI shall keep in the student’s file a certified copy of the certificate of maturity. In order to confirm such a copy, the original of the certificate for inspection is required.

    The original will be sent back to the address indicated or will be collected by the dean after the start of the studies (upon receipt of the student ID card, signing the oath, etc.) at the candidate’s will.

    In extreme cases, documents may be delivered in person within the time limits set in the recruitment calendar.

    Persons who do not confirm their readiness to study or who confirm but do not provide the required documents within the specified period will receive the status – resignation.

  • Should I submit any documents to SGGW earlier than the recruitment calendar provides?

    No, we do not expect documents to be submitted before we qualify for admission. The exception is the winners of the Olympics and competitions, who submit all documents together with the qualifications of the winner before qualification.

  • Do I have to submit my documents in person? Can I send them by post or courier, for example?

    We recommend sending documents by post or courier.

  • Can someone else pick up documents from SGGW on behalf of a candidate?

    Yes, as long as he has a notarial authority to dispose of the candidate’s documents during recruitment in SGGW. Each person receiving documents must have a valid photo ID. After the documents have been withdrawn by a third party, its notarial authorisation remains with SGGW.

    Candidates who cancel their studies at SGGW before the end of recruitment will be sent back to the mailing address provided in the SOK.

  • My high school diploma and baccalaureate certificate are in the dean. What to do?

    If a candidate is studying or has already completed one course of study (he/she has left his/her studies, has been deleted) and has not yet cleared the faculty and his documents are in the dean’s office, he/she should pick up the original documents in due time and re-submit them as part of the recruitment. The same procedure applies to documents contained in the dean of the Faculty of SGGW. Deans do not share documents with third parties (including recruitment).

  • I am already a student and i am starting my second course of study. What documents should I submit?

    The student undertaking the second field of study shall submit the documents applicable to all candidates.

  • At the time of submission of documents I am on leave / abroad / on holiday. Can I file documents later?

    Those who confirm their readiness to study but do not provide the required documents within the specified period will receive the status – resignation.

    Recruitment deadlines are very tight, we do not provide for a grace period for submission of documents.

Photo

  • By when do I need to include an electronic photo on the form?

    Photo in SOK the candidate puts in case of confirmation of willingness to study at SGGW after qualifying for submission of documents and acceptance. Candidates with qualified/pending status have the opportunity to attach a photo. Only after attaching and accepting the photo is it possible to print the Application/Personal Survey.

  • In the "Photo" tab, I see the message "new photo – pending verification". How long does it take to verify a photo?

    You should see a photo of the candidate when you join the form as soon as you join. If a candidate doesn’t see their photo in the SOK form, it means that it isn’t attached and can’t be verified (because, for example, the volume of the photo file is too large). Photos are accepted on an ongoing basis (24 to 48 hours after the photo is posted). To upload a photo, point to the path to the file on the disc or media and press the “change photo” button. The candidate at the photo declares that this is his photograph. No photo/statement prevents you from printing your application for college admission. Note! Photos received from a photographer on a disc or other medium are usually in very high resolution and have a large volume. The photo attached to the SOK should not be more than 100KB.

  • The "Photo" tab displays a message that the photo has not been accepted. Why?

    The message usually contains information about the floods of photo rejections. Please refer to the photo requirements (“Photo” tab in the Candidate Service System) and attach the correct photograph.

    Note! The candidate’s head should be 66-80% of the width and height of the photo box (window boxes). The photo should be taken “en face” – as for an ID card or passport, on a uniform background, in natural colors, sharp. If it’s a scanned photo, you won’t see stamp marks or the edges of the photo in the photo box. In SOK you can see what the master photo looks like.

SGGW Points

  • How are drawing exam grades converted to SGGW points?

    In the recruitment for the academic year 2020/2021, the ink drawing test for the direction of landscape architecture will not be carried out. The qualification will be based on the results of the baccalaureate in the qualification subjects.

  • How are baccalaureate points calculated?

    Depending on the year in which the baccalaureate exam was passed (both for the first and subsequent years), the points are calculated according to the formula:

    For high school students 2008-2019 (or improving the exam in these years)

    SGGW Points = Base Level x 0.7

    SGGW Points = Extended Level x 1

    For maturists (or baccalaureate students) before 2008:

    SGGW Points = Base Level x 0.4 + Extended Level x 0.6

  • How are points converted to the direction of animal bioengineering?

    In the recruitment for the field of bioengineering animals are required two qualification subjects: English and to choose mathematics or chemistry, or physics, or biology. The final score is the sum of SGGW points from two items, with SGGW points weighing 0.3 for English and 0.7 for the second item:

    Qualifying points = English SGGW points x 0.3 + SGGW points from the second item x 0.7

    Example 1: A candidate passed his or her master’s baccalaureate in 2020 and obtained the following result: mathematics – 80%, English – 70%

    English: SGGW = 70*0.7 = 49,

    mathematics: SGGW points = 80*0.7 = 56

    Qualifying points = 49*0.3 + 56*0.7 = 53.9

    Example 2: In 2020, the candidate passed the baccalaureate at the basic level of compulsory subjects: mathematics – 80%, English – 70% and biology at the extended level – 70%. In this case, the system for converting points chooses a better result from mathematics and biology.

    English: SGGW = 70*0.7 = 49,

    mathematics: SGGW points = 80*0.7 = 56,

    biology: SGGW points = 70*1.0 = 70

    Qualification points = (language)49*0.3 + (biology)70*0.7 = 63.7

  • How are points calculated in the fields of economics, logistics, finance and accounting, management?

    In the recruitment for economics, logistics, finance and accounting and management (full-time studies) three qualification subjects are required – mathematics, a foreign language and a third subject to choose from: Polish or geography, or WOS, or history. Each of them has its own weight: mathematics – 0.6 for SGGW points, foreign language – 0.2 for SGGW points and the third subject – 0.2 for SGGW points. The maximum score possible is 100 points.

    Thus, qualification points = SGGW points in mathematics x 0.6 + SGGW points from j. alien x 0.2 + SGGW points from the third item x 0.2

    Example 1: The candidate passed the basic level in 2020 and obtained the following results: mathematics – 80%, foreign language – 70%, Polish – 60%.

    mathematics: SGGW = 80*0.7 = 56 pts,

    foreign language: SGGW points = 70*0,7 = 49 points,

    language Polish: SGGW points = 60*0.7 = 42 pts

    Qualifying points = 56*0.6 + 49*0.2 + 42*0.2 = 33.6 + 9.8 + 8.4 = 51.8 points

    The candidate is qualified with a score of 51.8 SGGW

    Example 2: The candidate passed the baccalaureate at the extended level in 2020 and obtained the following results: mathematics – 80%, foreign language – 70%, geography – 60%.

    mathematics: SGGW points = 80*1.0 = 80 points,

    foreign language: SGGW points = 70*1,0 = 70 points,

    geography: SGGW = 60*1.0 = 60 pts

    Qualifying points = 80*0.6 + 70*0.2 + 60*0.2 = 48.0 + 14.0 + 12.0 = 74.0 points

    The candidate is qualified with a score of 74.0 SGGW

  • Baccalaureate in bilingual school.

    A foreign language exam in a bilingual school is conducted without distinguishing levels. If you have passed your bilingual baccalaureate before 2008, you will enter your result in the registration form in the place for the extended level exam. In place of the basic level result, they enter 100 and mark the year of obtaining the baccalaureate “before 2008”.

    Since 2008, graduates have entered the baccalaureate result in place of the extended level and mark the correct year of obtaining the baccalaureate.

    The exam in other subjects in bilingual school (biology, chemistry, mathematics, etc.) is conducted with level highlighting. In the form you must enter the results of the exam passed in Polish accordingly.

  • I passed my baccalaureate in two foreign languages. The result of which one to enter into the form?

    Enter the exam results in both languages in the form. This is better passed (after converting the results into SGGW points) should be marked for qualification, and at the second leave the status “not applicable”.

  • I have a foreign baccalaureate. How do I convert ratings into SGGW recruitment points?

    Candidates holding a Ukrainian, Belarusian, Russian or other country certificate independently introduce the assessments obtained on the certificate into the recruitment system. They will be converted into SGGW points in accordance with the rules posted on the recruitment page in the “Foreign certificates” tab. The results must be entered before the registration closes at a given stage, within the time limits specified in the recruitment calendar.

    Candidates holding a certificate issued outside the Republic of Poland, in a country other than those listed in the “Foreign certificates” tab, present them to the selection board, which converts the results obtained into SGGW points in accordance with the general rules and adds them to the candidate’s account. In the case of a different assessment scale, the selection board will individually recalculated the results obtained by the candidate. The certificate, together with the sworn translation into Polish language, must be submitted before the registration is closed at a given stage (within the time limits specified in the recruitment calendar) at the Office of Student Affairs, ul. Nowoursynowska 166, pok. 8, pok. 3 or send the scan to the following e-mail address: rekrutacja@sggw.pl.

    The condition for the selection board to add points is:

    registration in the Candidate Service System within the deadlines indicated in the recruitment calendar and selection of the field of study, provision of a foreign certificate of maturity min. 24 hours before the closing of the registration stage.

Veterinary - part-time studies

  • When does registration for part-time (veterinary) studies start? How do I point out that I am also interested in part-time studies? I do not see this direction in part-time form in the table, where should I make a choice?

    Registration for part-time veterinary studies begins with registration for other fields of study. Since recruitment for this field takes place on time and on the basis of the rules laid down for full-time studies, you must register for the selected course in stationary form and complete the declaration of participation in the recruitment for part-time studies, which will appear in the menu on the left. Select the appropriate option and confirm the selection. Only candidates who have an option of interest in this form of study will be eligible for part-time studies.

  • When are the first qualifications for part-time (veterinary) studies held?

    Qualifications for part-time (veterinary) studies take place at the same time as qualifications for full-time studies.

  • I have been qualified/qualified for part-time studies, I have submitted/submitted documents, and there are still vacancies for day studies. What can I do to study in day mode?

    A candidate who has submitted documents for part-time studies shall continue to participate in the qualification for a stationary course in this field. After the vacancies for full-time study have been announced, a threshold shall be set from which candidates for vacancies are accepted. This threshold is equal to the result of the last qualified candidate according to the ranking list. If the score of a candidate accepted for part-time veterinary medicine (with the status “accepted – part-time”) fits in the next stage of recruitment within the limit set for full-time studies, the candidate is automatically transferred to full-time studies and his/her status changes to “accepted – stationary”.

  • After the second year of part-time study in veterinary medicine, is there an automatic transfer to a stationary form?

    Part-time studies in veterinary medicine last 11 semesters (full cycle of education) and during this period it is not possible to change their form to stationary.

  • Are part-time studies in veterinary medicine paid only for the first semesters? How much is the fee?

    Part-time studies are paid for the entire duration (11 semesters). Semester fees are given in the annex to the Order of the Rector of the SGGW on the payment for studies.

Other question

  • Where can I find information about payments for part-time studies?

    Information on the amount of tuition fees for part-time studies can be found in the table of fees for studies – annex to the Order of the Rector of the SGGW on fees for studies.

  • Which group am I assigned/assigned to?

    The candidate will be assigned to a specific group in the dean’s office for his/her field of study. There is no such information on the recruitment pages.

  • When do classes start?

    You can check the start date of the classes on the subpage on the organization of the academic year. There is also a schedule of reunions for part-time studies in individual fields. If faculties start classes on different dates than the organisation of the academic year, they should notify candidates, so it’s a good idea to follow the information on the websites.

  • Where and when will the timetables be posted?

    Individual faculties provide timetables at different times. They can be consulted in the showcases before the dean and on the websites of the faculties.

  • How much is a college buy-in?

    SGGW does not charge a buy-in for study candidates. The only fee paid by the candidate is the recruitment fee. The newly accepted student pays the student ID card fee and the part-time student pays tuition fees.

  • Where can I find information about the fields of study offered by SGGW?

    Information about the fields of study can be found in the Fields of Study tab and in the Guide for candidates tab.

  • Is it possible to move from in-house to day or change direction?

    Yes, it is possible to change the form or field of study. The rules of transfer are laid down in the Rules of Study at SGGW.
