The “Agrotech” Fast Track competition is starting. The National Center for Research and Development, an executive agency of the minister of science and higher education, will allocate PLN 100 million from European Funds to support new technologies in the agricultural sector. The aim of the initiative is to increase the competitiveness of Polish companies working on projects in the field of robotization and automation, digitization or environmentally friendly agri-food production. The call for proposals in the competition will start on September 10 and will last until November 6, 2020.
The research agenda of the new NCBR competition defines 6 main thematic areas in which the financed projects are to be included, they are:
- Automation and robotization in agriculture;
- Mechanization in agriculture;
- Applications and advanced digital services for process optimization, prediction and simulation, and effective digitization of agricultural production, processing and management;
- Precision agriculture (smart fields);
- Sustainable agriculture and agri-food processing, innovative food, agricultural biotechnology;
- Bioenergy and biomaterials.
Support can be obtained for industrial research, experimental development and pre-implementation works. The only obligatory element of the project are experimental development works.
How much money can you get? For a single SME, the minimum value of eligible costs is PLN 1 million, and for large companies or consortia PLN 2 million. However, the maximum value of eligible costs may not exceed EUR 50 million. Co-financing can be up to 80% of these costs.
The call for proposals in the competition will start on September 10 and will last until November 6, 2020. (until 4 p.m.).
