IT Center

The IT Centre is an organizational unit of the SGGW responsible for providing and maintaining IT services in order to effectively, rationally and economically carry out tasks by the organizational units of the University. Together with other SGGW organizational units and external institutions, we create IT solutions for our academic community.
The unit is headed by  Rafał Bednarczyk, the Director of the IT Centre.

The IT Centre carries out tasks within an organisational structure built on the basis of three departments, which are led by:

• IT Infrastructure Department – Piotr Gawin,
• Software Maintenance and Development Department –  Tomasz Śmiałowski,
• Support and Organization Department –  Piotr Król.

The most important tasks of the IT Centre include:

• management of IT services strategy, IT service and delivery orders, IT user support process, IT services architecture in the data domain, applications, and infrastructure, central IT infrastructure, computer software at the University, General University Computer Network in all locations of the University,
• addressing current IT problems at the University,
• coordinating the provision, implementation, development, and maintenance of IT services,
• designing and implementing IT services,
• cooperation in analyzing, designing, building, testing, implementing, and supporting IT services and systems at the University,
• recognition, inventory, and classification of IT needs in the organisational units of the University,
• determining the directions of technological development of IT in SGGW.
