SGGW is a university open to the needs of Warsaw and Poland. Service and consultancy activities are carried out in all departments, as well as in university-wide units. The University has the opportunity to carry out commissioned research work both in laboratories (Projects for business – laboratories, Laboratory for Food Evaluation and Health Diagnostics) and greenhouses, as well as agricultural and forestry experimental plants.
The SGGW offer addressed to entrepreneurs (mainly from the agri-food sector) is available on the projektdlabiznesu.sggw.pl. Our sports facilities are available for residents of Warsaw and the surrounding area, and for tourists.
We have several areas such as swimming pools, tennis courts, sports fields, and horse riding. Our veterinary clinics – The Small Animal Clinic and the Horse Clinic – are also open to the public.
It is also possible to rent rooms for conferences and symposia, etc. with catering facilities, which can serve up to several thousand meals a day. We also rent rooms in hotel Ikar, and during the holiday season – also in student houses.
We also invite you to the Vehicle Inspection Station, located on the premises of the Faculty of Production Engineering
in building 20, at ul. Nowoursynowska 166.
We also have a training and conference team of the Center for Natural and Forestry Education in Rogów near Łódź. Additional attractions include the Forest and Wood Museum with a collection of animals, mainly birds and xylote, and the Arboretum with Alpinarium,
one of the most interesting dendrological collections in Poland, with about 2,500 species of trees and shrubs.
