Description of direction
This is a modern field of study combining issues in the field of ecology, urban environment protection, arboriculture, and urban space development – from planning and implementation to the economic aspects of this process. The study program includes subjects such as: ecology, environmental protection, dendrology, phytosociology, urban fruit and vegetable growing, plant protection, elements of design, a panel of subjects related to greenkeeping and arboriculture.

Career prospects
Graduates will be specialists in the field of sustainable urban development, able to create visions and plans for biologically active areas and decide about their future. They will be prepared to perform natural and inventory work on urban green areas, assess plant cover in urban areas, carry out projects, manage and supervise implementation and maintenance works in urban green areas. They will be able to take up employment, among others: in government and local government administration units, horticultural production plants and scientific and research institutions.
