Description of direction
Sociology studies provide a wealth of knowledge about human functioning in a changing society – from the family level to global structures; students gain practical knowledge about the latest research methods and techniques – both qualitative and quantitative, with the use of specialized computer programs used for research and interpretation of social phenomena. Graduates are prepared for independent and team design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs aimed at solving current social problems. They also acquire skills in the field of so-called soft skills, incl. ability to work in a team, effective self-presentation, effective persuasion, negotiation and mediation. During the studies, apprenticeships are carried out in business units, state administration units, local government administration, and social institutions,
educational institutions, health care institutions, cultural institutions, scientific and research institutions or other organizational units, the activity of which coincides with the profile of the field of study. Students have the opportunity to develop their interests at WSIP student research clubs, they also take a creative and active part in the life of the academic community of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
Depending on the level and form of studies, students can broaden their knowledge, inter alia, in the following issues:

• media and new technologies.

• HR consulting companies, as well as in various positions, where they are responsible for organizational, personal and marketing matters.
