Description of direction
It is a field of study that combines many disciplines, incl. issues related to energy, ecology and environmental engineering. Students gain a thorough knowledge of mathematics and natural sciences, extended by technical and organizational issues related to energy. Graduates are prepared to solve problems related to the rational implementation of renewable energy technologies, as well as to plan and design the development of field energy management. They have knowledge of the production and processing of energy from renewable sources and the operation of devices that use them.
The study program includes:
FIRST CYCLE STUDIES: organization and economics of production, environmental protection, hydrology, geology, fluid mechanics, technical thermodynamics, agricultural and forestry production, energy management, water management and water protection, computer-aided design, engineering, meteorology and climatology, cost accounting, audit energy of buildings, waste and sewage management, solar, wind, geothermal energy, small hydropower, production and processing of biomass.
SECOND CYCLE STUDIES: rural energy infrastructure, sustainable rural development, forecasting methods, energy-saving technologies in construction, environmental engineering, energy use of biomass, unconventional energy sources, EU energy policy, energy law, local energy audit, biotechnological basis of agricultural production, hybrid energy systems, logistics, planning and management of local energy, energy quality, information technologies in the energy sector, financial management of local governments, energy market analysis.
PROFESSIONAL POWERS
The knowledge gained during studies enables, among others applying for authorization to perform energy audits.
