Description of direction
The studies allow you to gain interdisciplinary knowledge in the field of:
• physicochemical and biological processes in the natural environment,
• causes and mechanisms of threats and degradation of individual elements of the environment (atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere),
• the impact of technical, agricultural and forestry activities on the environment,
• technologies used in environmental protection and rehabilitation,
• legal and economic instruments used in environmental protection,
• spatial information systems and other computer techniques used in environmental management.
The study program includes:
First-cycle studies: general and inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, civilization threats and sustainable development, hazards and techniques of atmosphere protection, general microbiology, general ecology, environmental protection law and management, threats and techniques of pedosphere protection, hazards and techniques of hydrosphere protection, wastewater management , waste management, spatial information systems, environmental monitoring and bioindication, restoration of water environments.
SECOND CYCLE STUDIES: ecotoxicology, the flow of pollutants in the environment, decision support systems in environmental protection, management of environmental resources, modeling of environmental processes. Depending on the level and form of studies, students can broaden their knowledge of the following issues: environmental management, protection and shaping of water resources, technologies in environmental protection, environmental protection systems, Restoration and Management of Environment (specialization in English).
