Description of direction
Biotechnical systems engineering is a field dealing with specialized devices, machines and production processes that function in the widely considered environment. The aim of education in this field is to provide knowledge and skills in the design, construction and operation of machines and devices as well as control of production processes that are used in the agricultural, forestry, municipal economy and food production environment. Biotechnical Systems Engineering graduates are specialists in mechanics and machine construction as well as various types of engines and drives. They are prepared to perform engineering tasks related to the operation, maintenance and repair of machines and devices. In their work, they use modern IT methods and computer tools, as well as elements of automation and robotics. They are prepared to design, organize and supervise production processes in agriculture, agri-food processing, forestry and the maintenance of urban green areas. They have knowledge of the influence of technical devices on biological objects, and they also know how to conduct research in the field of the interaction of technology with nature. They are also prepared to independently run companies providing services related to the technical support of agriculture, forestry and municipal management.
