Katarzyna Specjalska – Rising Star of the Internationalisation 2024
The head of SGGW’s International Relations Office has been awarded a prestigious award.
The prize
The Stars of Internationalisation [Rising Star Umiędzynarodowienia 2024] award is dedicated to recognize individuals with outstanding achievements in the internationalization of Polish higher education institutions.
The jury
The Jury, consisting of representatives of institutions and organizations involved in the development of internationalization, chaired by Prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk, awarded prizes in eight categories – the award in the ‘Rising Star’ category went to Katarzyna Specjalska, Head of the International Relations Office at SGGW.
International Students in Poland, the expert panel
During this edition of the conference, Ms Specjalska participated in a panel discussion entitled ‘Convince me – why Poland? How to communicate so that candidates from all over the world would pay attention to the academic offer of our country?’, together with Paulina Boroń-Kacperek (Head of Admissions Office, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences), Liliana Lato (Head of International Relations Office At the University of Łódź), and Oleksandr Zakharchuk (Head of Digital Marketing Development Team at NAWA) on understanding the individual needs and situation of foreigners and providing them with practical information, tips and support as key factors for choosing an opportunity in a new country. The discussion focused on best communication practices to be used when designing a university offer. The panel was chaired by Anna Kiryjow-Radzka from the SGGW Press Office, president of the PR and Promotion Association of Polish Universities PRom.
The ‘International Students in Poland’ conference was held at Poznan University of Technology. The event was attended by the SGGW Rector, Prof. dr hab. Michał Zasada.
