Ministry of Science and Higher Education: student and doctoral student ID cards remain valid; it does not need to be confirmed at the university.Student ID cards, doctoral student ID cards and academic teachers ID cards are valid without having to confirm their validity at the university – the Ministry of Science and Higher Education announced on Monday.
As the ministry recalled, on October 19 this year. By ordinance of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, education at studies and postgraduate studies, as well as full-time doctoral education, has been limited – it has been replaced with hybrid or remote education. In accordance with the provisions of the Law on Higher Education and Science, during the period of limitation or suspension of the operation of universities and for 60 days after its completion, student cards and service cards of academic teachers are valid, without the need to confirm them.
The issue of the validity of the doctoral student ID is similar – it was indicated in the release. In the case of suspension of doctoral studies, during the suspension period and for 60 days after its completion, the doctoral student ID cards are valid, without the need to confirm their validity.
“Therefore, the ID cards, the validity of which under these provisions of the Act were to expire on November 29 this year, i.e. 60 days after the end of the previous limitation period for the functioning of the university set for September 30, 2020, remain valid” – explained the Ministry of Science in a release published on website.
