Announcement of the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW on the organization of classes from May 4, 2021
Dear academic teachers, PhD students and students,
As the epidemic situation is improving and the schedule of reopening the economy has been implemented by the government, from May 4, I am restoring the possibility of partial face-to-face teaching in accordance with the rules set out in Regulation No. 5/2021 of the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW of January 18, 2021 on the organization of education in the summer semester of the academic year 2020/2021 in relation to the threat of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Taking into account the health safety of students, doctoral students and employees of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW, the hybrid model remains the rule, in which most of the classes are conducted remotely. In those fields of study where the on-site presence of students is required, education may take place in a traditional form, in accordance with the currently applicable rules of sanitary safety.
The above changes in the organization of education apply to classes conducted at all fields, levels and forms of study, at the Doctoral School and at doctoral studies. This also applies to postgraduate studies and classes conducted by the Open University of Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW.
I kindly ask all students, PhD students and employees to follow the rules set out in the Polish government and local authorities’ announcements, and remain responsible at the end of the summer semester. I am convinced that by doing so, we will contribute to a quick return to the traditional model of the University’s functioning.
At the same time, I would like to emphasize that in the event of changes in the epidemic threat, the SGGW authorities will make decisions to adapt the functioning of the University to new conditions.
prof. Michał Zasada, PhD
Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW
