THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS FROM FOREIGN NATIONS ARE ENTITLED TO ENROLMENT ON STUDIES FREE OF CHARGE:

1) those who enrol on full-time studies conducted in Polish and meet one of the following conditions:

1. have a valid Polish Identity Card (Pole Card - Karta Polaka),
2. have a decision confirming Polish origin,
3. have a permanent residence permit in Poland,
4. obtained a residence permit for a long-term resident of the European Union in the territory of Poland,
5. have the refugee status granted in Poland,
6. are under temporary protection in the territory of Poland,
7. have been granted subsidiary protection in the territory of Poland,
8. have obtained a temporary residence permit in the territory of Poland due to the circumstances referred to in Article 159 paragraph 1 or Article 186 paragraph 1 (3) or (4) of the Act of 12 December 2013 on Foreigners (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 35),
9. have obtained a temporary residence permit in the territory of Poland due to the circumstances referred to in Article 151 paragraph 1 or Article 151b paragraph 1 of the Act of 12 December 2013 on Foreigners (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 35),
10. are citizens of a European Union member state, the Swiss Confederation or a member state of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) - a party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area or members of the family of such a person residing in the territory of Poland,
11. have a certificate confirming their knowledge of Polish as a foreign language, referred to in Article 11a paragraph 2 of the Act of 7 October 1999 on Polish Language (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1480, as amended), at least at the C1 language proficiency level,
12. are the spouse, ascendant or descendant of a Polish citizen, residing in the territory of Poland;

2) those who enrol on full-time studies in Polish or English and are referred by the decision of the Minister or the NAWA Director, provided that the decision contains the information about the exemption from payment for educational services;

3) those who enrol on full-time studies in Polish or English on the basis of a contract concluded with a partner university by SGGW, provided that the contract contains the information about the exemption from payment for educational services.

The family members of foreigners referred to in paragraph 1 (10) are the persons listed in Article 2 paragraph 4 of the Act of 14 July 2006 on Entry into, Residence in and Exit from the Territory of the Republic of Poland of Nationals of the European Union Member States and their Family Members (Journal of Laws of 2017, item 900 and of 2018, item 650), i.e:

"Family member [denotes] a foreigner who is or is not an EU citizen:
a) a spouse of the EU citizen,
b) a direct descendant (child, grandchild) of the EU citizen or his/her spouse, aged up to 21 years or dependent on the EU citizen or his/her spouse,
c) a direct ascendant (parents, grandparents) of an EU citizen or his/her spouse, dependent on the EU citizen or his/her spouse."
