The SGGW Gender Equality Plan for the years 2022-2025 was adopted in 2021. SGGW is one of the first universities in Poland to adopt such a document.
The adoption of the Plan by SGGW may be considered as a response to the requirements resulting from the conditions of financing research conducted under the Horizon EUROPE 2021-2027 Program and complements and extends the scope of equality and anti-discrimination measures, that were implemented by the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in connection with granting the “HR Excellence in Research” logo by the European Commission.
The overarching objective of the Gender Equality Plan is to ensure equal treatment, care for equal opportunity, and development opportunity, care for balance and diversity.
The planned activities are oriented toward the implementation of the following goals:
- Increasing awareness of the entire SGGW community on the principle of equal treatment and discrimination, including gender discrimination.
- Taking care of equal opportunities and full development of women’s potential.
- Taking care of gender balance and diversity in university, institutes, and departments’ decision-making bodies, an expert, review and project teams, as well as a part of individual positions and recruitment processes.
