High school graduates interested in studying at SGGW
Several hundred high school graduates visited the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences during the Open Day.
The global COVID-19 pandemic has made us take a hybrid approach to many issues, including the organization of the university Open Days. This year the Open Days at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering have been organized in a way that combined the traditional and current organizational approaches; there was a possibility to join the event online and we also observed record attendance on site.
In the Water Center Laboratory there were over 200 high school graduates interested in the Faculty’s offer:
- Landscape Architecture,
- Construction,
- Water Engineering and Management,
- Environmental Engineering,
- Environmental Protection.
Recruitment at SGGW
Prospective students learned about career possibilities after graduation, learning conditions, admission rules and threshold points. The student stand, where the Faculty current students answered the most bothering questions, was particularly popular.
The attractions
Studying at SGGW does not only mean lectures, but it also covers exciting and intellectually stimulating laboratories, where students led by their scientific tutors may carry out experiments and practice their knowledge. Today, the high school students could see the laboratories and studying at WBiIŚ in real life. Apart from the Water Centre, the SGGW campus appeared in its full form – an area of 72 hectares, with the didactic buildings of our Alma Mater. It is worth emphasizing that the campus also plays a social-creative role, and the students could see our “movie like campus” with their own eyes. At SGGW!
