Dr Marcin Mickiewicz received project funding under the ERA-NET ICRAD program
Dr Marcin Mickiewicz and his team from the Independent Department of Epidemiology and Veterinary Economics, Institute of Veterinary Medicine, SGGW, received funding for projects under the ERA-NET ICRAD program: International Coordination of Research on Infectious Animal Diseases.
The project prepared by the team received a positive evaluation in the ICRAD Call 3 competition. SGGW will coordinate the project (with the participation of 7 countries). The value of the project for SGGW is 200,000 EURO. The total project funding is EURO 1,428,600.
The project title: An application of metabolomics to the detection of anthelmintic resistance of gastrointestinal nematodes in goats (acronym: METABOL-AR); coordinated by dr Marcin Mickiewicz.
The second project, ‘Haemonchus Anthelmintic ResisTance – Evolution Mechanisms and Innovative Solutions’ (acronym: HARTEMIS), is coordinated by Prof Anne Lespine from the French National Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Environment (INRAE) (4 partners, 3 countries). Dr Marcin Mickiewicz is in charge of the project part implemented in Poland – package (WP4): Analysis of the economic and socioeconomic impact of Haemonchus contortus infections and macrocyclic lactones resistance on sheep farms in Poland, France and the UK.
