Competition for the best poster

On behalf of the Director of the Doctoral School of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, dr hab. Justyna Franc-Dąbrowska, prof. SGGW invite all PhD students to participate in the competition for the best scientific poster.

General rules of the competition:

The competition is open to doctoral students of the Doctoral School of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Posters concerning the research work of doctoral students may be submitted individually.

The poster should be prepared in pdf format. in size B1. Remember that the poster should be in line with the general guidelines for the preparation of conference posters. The poster should be accompanied by an abstract of the work along with information about the author, the represented field and scientific discipline (maximum 1000 words).

Posters with descriptions should be sent by April 24, 2022 to the following e-mail address: Szkola_doktorska@sggw.edu.pl with the title “Competition for the best poster” in the title.

The posters will be assessed by a Commission appointed by the Director of the Doctoral School of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, dr hab. Justyna Franc-Dąbrowska, prof. SGGW. The results will be announced by May 14, 2022.

The best posters in the following disciplines will receive financial awards in the form of funding for the implementation of doctoral theses prepared by doctoral students studying at the Doctoral School of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences:

  1. forest science – PLN 1,000.00,
  2. agriculture and horticulture – PLN 1,000.00,
  3. food and nutrition technology – PLN 1,000.00,
  4. veterinary science – PLN 1,000.00,
  5. animal science and fisheries – PLN 1,000.00,
  6. biological sciences – PLN 1,000.00,
  7. civil engineering and transport – PLN 1,000.00,
  8. mechanical engineering – PLN 1,000.00,
  9. environmental engineering, mining and energy – PLN 1,000.00,
  10. technical information technology and telecommunications – PLN 1,000.00,
  11. economics and finance – PLN 1,000.00,
  12. sociology – PLN 1,000.00.

It is stipulated that the evaluation committee may not award an award in a given discipline.

The winning works will be presented during the Days of SGGW 2022 and made available on the website.
