Mobility call

Before mobility

  • Developing Digital Skills

Students of all fields of study can apply for traineeships related to developing digital skills.

Digital skills as understood by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Program: “Any traineeship will be considered as a “traineeship in digital skills” when one or more of the following activities are practiced by the trainee: digital marketing (e.g. social media management, web analytics); digital graphical, mechanical or architectural design; development of apps, software, scripts, or websites; installation, maintenance and management of IT systems and networks; cybersecurity; data analytics, mining and visualization; programming and training of robots and artificial intelligence applications. Generic customer support, order fulfillment, data entry, or office tasks are not considered in this category.”

  • Where can you do the traineeship?

Traineeships can be carried out in a foreign company, scientific and research institution, university with an ECHE Charter, non-profit organization, or other type of institution located in a country participating in the Erasmus+ program. The internship cannot be carried out during a diplomatic mission in your country, an EU institution, or an institution responsible for managing EU programs.

  • How to find an institution?

The basis for the mobility call is the student’s initiative and his contacts established with the host institution/company. The university can support students by offering the opportunity to use contacts within existing networks and alliances.

  • What should be agreed with the institution?

  • How to apply?

To complete an Erasmus+ traineeship abroad, you must send the required application documents to IRO as part of the recruitment process:

    • Application form
    • confirmation of knowledge of a foreign language at least at B1 level: (scan of the result of the extended secondary school leaving exam in a foreign language – min. 50%), international certificates, e.g., FCE, CAE, TOEFL, LCCI)*
    • preliminary consent of the host institution in the form of an Acceptance Letter or official e-mail
    • in the case of veterinary students – acceptance of the faculty coordinator for the implementation of the internship in the clinic indicated by them

*it is possible to pass the language exam online in the case of not having one of the mentioned certificates; English-language students are exempt from the exam

  • When am I exempt from the exam?

The students must speak the language of instruction of the traineeship at at least B1 level. The ones who have an international language certificate (e.g., FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEFL, LCCI) or who have passed the extended secondary school leaving examination in a foreign language at a minimum 50% level, are exempt from the examination. Students already participating in the Erasmus+ program don’t have to pass the exam again.

  • What does the exam look like?

The exam is conducted in the following languages: English, German, French, Spanish and Italian.

It is free of charge for students to pass the exam while they apply for traineeship at the moment of a mobility call.

The invitation to take the exam is sent to the candidate via e-mail on the date agreed with BWM.

The exam is performed entirely online and lasts 30 minutes. During the exam, the student’s identity is verified. The examined parts of language skills are listening, reading, and writing.

The exam is graded according to the CEFR scale from A1 to C2. Students who achieve a minimum level of B1 can take part in a mobility call.

  • Documents

The application documents that must be submitted to IRO during the recruitment period are:

    • Application Form
    • language certificate,
    • preliminary consent of the receiving institution in the form of Acceptance Letter or e-mail

Qualified students are required to submit to IRO:

    • Personal data form
    • Agreement on the traineeship program – the Learning Agreement for traineeships is signed by the student and approved by the vice-dean for didactics and the responsible person for the student’s traineeship at the host institution.
    • Insurance – each student going on a traineeship must have an EHIC card. It is strongly advised to have accident insurance and third party liability insurance. If you travel to a country, where the EHIC card is invalid, you must purchase private health insurance.

All the documents mentioned above must be provided by the student before departure.

About two weeks before the starting date of the mobility, students have to sign a mobility agreement that specifies the conditions of the traineeship and the scholarship payment.

  • Safety abroad

Students must have insurance against medical costs and accidents during their stay abroad. Additionally, students must purchase third party liability insurance (OC). The receiving institution, in addition to standard health insurance, may require specialized insurance (information included in the Learning Agreement for Traineeships). If the receiving institution does not provide appropriate insurance, the mobility participant should arrange it on their own (e.g., individual insurance policy).

The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) only guarantees essential and unscheduled treatment within the public healthcare system of a given country. The card is issued free of charge by the provincial branches of the National Health Fund.

    More information about the EHIC.

NOTE: Having health insurance does not mean having accident insurance. When traveling under the Erasmus+ program, the student must have appropriate insurance, including personal accident insurance.  NNW is included, for example, in the Euro 26 or ISIC cards. It is also possible to purchase an individual policy from any insurance company.

It is recommended that the participant register on the Odyseusz website operated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

After mobility
