APPLICATION PROJECTS – COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT NO. 1 / 4.1.4 / 2020
We invite you to participate in the next competition entitled “Application projects” (Sub-measure 4.1.4 of the Intelligent Development Operational Program). Funding in the competition can be obtained for the implementation of industrial research, development works (mandatory in the project) and pre-implementation works.
The competition is open to consortia consisting of at least one research unit and one enterprise. Projects can be implemented in all voivodships of Poland, except for Mazowieckie. We allocated for the competition PLN 100 million.

The submitted applications will be formally verified and then assessed in accordance with the new criteria adopted on April 2, 2020. We rebuilt the structure of the criteria and reduced their number (criteria scored from 7 to 5, criteria YES / NO from 10 to 7). We focused the most important elements of project evaluation in scoring criteria (essence of the project, project implementation, implementation of results), because the point scale gives a wider possibility of evaluation and a better chance of a positive evaluation than the zero-one scale. We have also significantly shortened the description of the criteria.
An important change is the identification of a new scoring criterion “The essence of the project”. We have combined all aspects related to the concept of the project. This new criterion will help to better understand the specificity of research and development projects and will be a guide for the applicant at the stage of writing the application how to specify the purpose of his project and define its result.
The new criteria also allow for a much wider scope for improvement of the design during the evaluation. The applicant will also be able to correct the application in terms of criteria that are not correct so far.
The changes in the criteria are reflected in the new application template and instructions for completing it. Their structure is consistent with the logic and system of new criteria. In addition, the entire competition documentation has been significantly simplified and prepared in accordance with the rules of simple language. We have also changed the layout so that the documents are easier to read and more user-friendly.
