Prof. dr hab. Wiesław Bielawski, Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, sent a message to the academic community about the functioning of the university in the period from 18 March 2020. 25 March 2020.

with reference to the introduced on March 13, 2020. the state of epidemic threat in Poland and with reference to the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of March 16, 2020. amending the regulation on the temporary limitation of the functioning of certain entities of the higher education and science system in relation to preventing, counteracting and combating COVID-19 the following rules for the functioning of the University are introduced in the period from March 18, 2020. by March 25, 2020:
- The principle of remote work is introduced. Managers of organizational units are obliged to agree with employees on the scope and duration of remote work and to supervise the effects of such work. Employees performing remote work are at the constant disposal of the employer. People working remotely perform their duties in accordance with the instructions of the supervisor and are available during working hours at e-mail addresses and business telephone numbers, if they have them.
- Managers are obliged to ensure the continuity of work of units by organizing on-call duty and indicating the minimum number of people who will personally perform work in these units during their working hours, with particular emphasis on Institutes, Dean’s Offices, the IT Center and the Bureau.
- The faculties should ensure work organization enabling timely data entry into the POL-on system.
- The University’s commitments, such as the payment of salaries and scholarships, are carried out in accordance with the schedules. Other financial matters are dealt with in accordance with the information provided by the Bursar.
- The correct circulation of accounting documents, including the accounting document description form, should be ensured.
- The organizational units of the University do not accept applicants. In exceptional situations, the head of the organizational unit may consent to the admission of a client, with due care.
- Limitations of direct contacts are introduced, with the simultaneous recommendation of considering cases by e-mail or telephone.
- Entrances to SGGW buildings are limited to the necessary minimum.
- Organizational units are required to submit to the Rector’s Office ( rektor@sggw.pl ) until March 18 this year. 10:00 a.m. 2.00 p.m. telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, contact addresses in the EZD system, information about the organization of work and the manner of settling matters.
