Andrzej Szmalc appointed Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Cooperation with the Economy
Andrzej Szmalc is also the manager of the Office for Structural Projects and Technology Transfer at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
He graduated from the Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw. He has many years of experience as a business expert and manager of development.
Negotiator, broker of innovative technologies at UOTT of the University of Warsaw and CIITT SGGW in Warsaw, general director of the IT company Interim Manager at UOTT UW, co-founder of the PACTT Foundation – Agreement of Academic Technology Transfer Centers.
He built a corporate division for one of the largest Polish banks. He conducted training courses for academic staff at many universities and institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences – for over 10,000 participants in total. He co-founded 12 innovative start-ups from the Bio Tech, Med Tech and High Tech industries. He supported the commercialization and development (including establishing relationships with investors and raising capital) of 15 innovative start-ups.
