33.Parafiada at SGGW

Over 500 people, 33 representations, including 24 Polish teams, and 9 from Lithuania, Latvia and Ukraine take part in the 33. Parafiada (event organized by the local parish) which takes place on the SGGW campus. A lot of young people represent their sports clubs, parishes, schools, and non-governmental institutions.

Parafiada is a week-long (July 10 – July 15) celebration of sport, culture and faith. It is based on the program created by Fr. Józef Jońca. This year, the organizers have planned the 23 sports competitions in 11 disciplines, for individuals and groups; there are also some art and knowledge competitions, music and theater shows, “Twarda Sztuka” workshops, i.e., linocut, architecture and mural arts.

Prof. dr hab. Michał J. Zasada, Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and dr inż. Władysław W. Skarżyński, Chancellor of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. are members of the Organizing Committee.
